in the world of walkers and striding meditators and meditations
there are those that walk upon the curb

i've seen them, superb in their balance, ease in their gait
i've even seen some walk on fences

like some tightrope master from a past life,
never have i noticed a stumble or a fall

there are those that walk on fences
and those that walk upon the curb

while their traveling partner takes comfort on the road
there are those that prefer to walk upon the curb
